This page is about the person behind all that — the parts of me that don’t belong in a CV. Because if we're going to work together, I believe it's important you know more about me than just a list of job titles, names, and achievements.

The short version.
I spent 19 years as the founding CEO of an influential media ministry, literally starting with nothing but the support of my dad and the rest of my family, and a bunch of other wonderful people who believed that God could reach an entire city through a radio station.
I spent another 3 years fixing a broken organisation, improving and scaling operations, rebuilding its reputation and, most importantly, transforming a toxic team into a group of professionals who actually enjoyed being in the same room together.
From my childhood as captain of Raceview United, to running and supporting organisations that change lives, I enjoyed immense success. I’ve also made a lot of expensive mistakes.
In 2018, I left my last in-house role to build Dare Greatly Solutions and focus on supporting leaders one-on-one through coaching and professional supervision. Since then, I've worked with emerging leaders, church leaders, business owners, not-for-profit CEOs, local councillors, and senior government ministers.
And the focus has always been the same: Helping leaders achieve exceptional results without losing what matters most.
Why Dare Greatly?
The name of my business, Dare Greatly, comes a section in Theodore Roosevelt's famous Man in the Arena speech. It was a single sentence that struck me — just 34 words that capture the very essence of who I am, why I do what I do, and the people I feel most called to serve.
I am he "who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows, in the end, the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly."
What you won't see on LinkedIn.
When I'm not with a client or working in my office — which is actually a shipping container, by the way — I enjoy reading, playing games, or tinkering in my workshop. I love fishing and consider myself a golfer, but I don't play nearly as often as I'd like.
I also like working with my hands. You might find me mowing a paddock, or cutting firewood, fixing a gate, or stringing a fence.
Or it might be one of a long list of reno projects for the house. There's something intensely satisfying about finding creative solutions to problems, restoring something old, tired or broken, and bringing the beauty out of the ugly.
Just don't ask me to finish anything in a hurry. I tend to take far too long to get started, and even longer to finish.

I've been married for over 30 years to Janine, who still makes my heart skip a beat, and I’m the proudest dad to two young men and a beautiful daughter-in-law.
We live in a tiny home on a 12 acre property between Brisbane and Toowoomba with 2 dogs, a cat, 7 sheep, 2 horses, a pig named Wilbur, and way too many chickens.
I'm building this business so I have the flexibility to be present for my family and the people who matter most to me. It hasn't been easy, but it's been one of the better decisions I've made.

Why am I sharing this?
Coaching is a relationship—a very personal, sometimes intimate one.
We're going to spend real time together, having conversations mostly about leadership, but also exploring purpose, relationships, challenges, aspirations, fears, setbacks, and what truly matters.
Before you trust me with those conversations, I figure you should know who Ivan Green really is.
A man who feels deeply, loves loudly, fails often but usually forward, is occasionally brilliant, and refuses to quit.
Most importantly, I'm a follower of Jesus.
My faith shapes how I view leadership, success, people, purpose, and what it means to live a life worth sustaining.
I'm still learning.

And still committed to becoming the kind of husband, father, leader, and coach who runs for the prize and finishes well.
